Performances.

Static Moves remit is to be able to provide quality aerial entertainment wherever possible. Our wish is to bring the heights of splendour to even the smallest venues and gatherings. It is with this in mind that we keep our costs flexible and hope to be able to adapt to your budgets. Having said this, it should be noted that we are all professionally trained artists skilled in our art. By omitting the middle man we can charge considerably less than many of our competitors. It would be wrong to quote fixed fees on this site as each enquiry is negotiated on it’s own terms and tailor made to your requirements. If you consider a typical average fee per performer per show could be around £300 plus expenses; what we can say is we hope to be able to offer you something from as little as £100 per performer plus expenses!

Workshops.

All our workshops can be adapted to last anything from 1hour to a whole day or week! Breaks are inserted when and where necessary for both leaders and participants. Younger children tend to perform best with short, sharp sessions punctuated by fun refreshment breaks and down time whereas the more mature can usually handle longer periods of concentration!

Depending on your remit we can provide 1,2 or 3 workshop leaders (more if necessary) and can incorporate drama games/exercises alongside circus skills leading up to a presentation at the end of the day/course/week. The choice is yours!

Fees for workshops depend on the number of facilitator/teachers necessary but tend to start from around £30 plus expenses per facilitator/teacher per hour. Discounts can be negotiated for complete day/course/week bookings.

BOOKING INFORMATION

Booking Terms.

• STATIC MOVES herein referred to as the PERFORMERS will endeavour to fulfil all rigging/performance duties but cannot be held responsible for venue staff and yourselves, herein referred to as THE CLIENT.
  
• The Performers agree to provide entertainment as agreed with the Client and in writing prior to the date of performance. No alterations can be made without prior consent or agreement with the Performers who will endeavour to make changes only if necessary and where possible.
  
• All payments must be made within 30 days of receipt of invoice. Cheques should be made payable to STATIC MOVES and sent to the registered address on the invoice.
  
• In the event of cancellations, the following payments of fees will apply;
  

  From confirmation of booking up to 21 days prior to date; 25%

  Between 20 days and 7 days before date; 50%

  Within 1 week; 75%

  Within 24 hours; 100%

• The performers retain the right to use materials captured during this contract such as video, photographs or audio for internal company use, archiving or to promote company activities. The client has permission to use said materials in the same way bar the promoting of the Clients’ or any other company. Should the latter be a requirement a separate fee can be negotiated to cover use of the Performers images/work for advertisement use.
  
• The Performers will require access to the venue in advance of the performance to rig and test equipment.
  
• The Performers will require access to the venue after the event to de-rig equipment. This can either be on the same day as the performance or the day following.
  
• The Performers will require a warm, secure room to use as a dressing room – preferably with mirrors, good lighting and nearby toilet facilities. If this is not possible the Performers will need to know at least 7 days in advance of contract.
  
• The Performers will require a warm, private space to warm up prior to performance and warm down on completion. This can be the same room as the dressing room providing space permits.
  
• The performers agree to arrive at the venue at least 1 hour prior to performance.
  
• The performers will require a map outlining the exact location of the venue at negotiation stage as this will determine the travelling time and mode of transport needed. Also if overnight stays are necessary.

RIGGING REQUIREMENTS

• What is the height of the ceiling?
  
• What is the point of attachment for the aerial equipment?
  
• What kind of structure will the aerial equipment be rigged from?
  
• Does it have a load rating? Minimum rating should be 10:1
  
• If so, is there any documentation to support this? Ie; structural engineers report, architectural blue prints etc.
  
• It may be necessary for us to do a visual inspection ourselves. Would this be a problem?
  
• Are there any structural beams eg; RSJ’s?
  
• Are there any obstacles around the performance space eg; lights, alcoves etc?
  
• NB; If we cannot establish rigging safety it may be necessary to consult a professional rigging service which will incur an extra charge.
  
• What access to the rigging points are there? Eg; ladders, catwalks, powered access only.
  
• If powered access is necessary it is essential that a qualified operator is present. This can be someone from the venue or we can provide someone at extra cost.
  
• Are you able to provide barriers or staff to ensure audiences safety when performances are in progress?
  
• Will you require a risk assessment or/and method statement?
